Welcome to the new blog site of 236ACU Toukley the purpose of this site is to advise parents, carers, guardians and cadets of the unit of what is happening with the unit and what is coming up. Traditionally the unit has sent home permission notes and parent notes to be read, signed and returned. Unfortunately this is not being done and to ensure that the problem is not the cadets forgetting to hand over these notes this blog site has been set up.
This blog will be updated by NLT 1800h (6pm) each Tuesday of the school term and cadets and family are encouraged to follow this site and to leave comments and questions for followed up. Sensitive information such as cadet and family personal details will not posted on this site but dates and times of activities will be. Any parents, carers or guardians who have concerns about this information are encouraged to contact the unit OC to discuss this matter.
Permission notes will still be sent home and will be required to be signed and returned by the due date for OH&S and insurance purposes. This blog however will help you to know when paperwork is due and will also help cadets know what notes they have missed if they have been absent and what to ask for upon their return.
Each note has a reference number at the top which will usually look something like this 236/PN/09/OC/01. This number will also be posted with each blog that has a permission note due for return so that the cadet can easily identify the note that they need.
This is a new and exciting addition to the way that 236ACU communicates with all those involved in the unit and while minimal teething problems are expected I ask that you bear with us until they are sorted out.
